Temporary Living Quarters for Offshore Wind Farms

The proliferation of offshore wind farms has opened the door for HB Rentals to expand into the energy renewables market. We've gained significant project experience in the North Sea and look forward to supporting the US Eastern Seaboard market as the market develops over time.

We support offshore wind projects with the same product lines as oil & gas, DNV-GL accommodation modules in the North Sea and ABS/USCG in the United States. As with the maritime and oil & gas industries, we design, engineer, fabricate, ensure regulatory compliance, install and commission the complete temporary living quarter complex based on a detailed site survey of the vessel, jack-up or platform.

Offshore wind projects include both construction and maintenance of windmills and substations. As the installed base of power generation capacity continues to grow in the North Sea, almost 7,000 Mega-watts (MWs) by January 2014, the U.S., China and India are closely monitoring with plans of their own as both developed and developing countries seek to expand their renewable energy portfolios.
