HB Rentals Delivers Galley to Remote Rig Site in West Texas

April 11, 2018

MIDLAND, Texas — Temporary accommodations specialist HB Rentals announced the delivery of a Fiberglass Galley and Fiberglass 3-Man Sleeper to support a remote rig site in west Texas. The equipment was delivered last week and will support the site for the rest of 2018.

Galley Delivery

A customer in west Texas approached HB Rentals looking for a galley and sleeping solution for their upcoming work. They needed to sleep three people and have a full commercial kitchen on the rig site. HB was able to provide its Fiberglass Galley (11′ x 36′ x 11′-2″) and Fiberglass 3-Man Sleeper (11′ x 16′ x 11′2″). The Galley provided commercial grade stainless steel equipment needed to reliably handle high-volume use and the 3-Man Sleeper provided enough beds for the galley crew while keeping the footprint on the site to a minimum.

HB’s line of fiberglass modules are typically used for offshore work as a cost-conscious, lightweight alternative to heavier steel modules. The modules are perfect for non-classed safe area use where regulatory restrictions do not apply or have a limited footprint. In this case, onshore in west Texas, the same advantages make them the perfect solution for putting a commercial galley on a remote rig site. The modules' lightweight skidded designs make them winch-truck ready, so they can be easily transported to remote locations. Their footprint-saving design makes them smaller than a typical trailer or skid house.

Our ability to think outside of the box is what differentiates HB Rentals, said Derek Fernandez, Senior Business Development Manager. By utilizing our offshore equipment onshore, we were able to provide our customer a solution that met all their needs.
